Facebook Group is up and mini gaming update

Finally got around to setting up the facebook group so feel free to search for us on the facebook as Would You Kindly Blog and Podcast.

On the gaming front had a chance to finally get around to playing the Resident Evil 5 demo and it's good, not great, but not disappointing. Graphics are crisp amazingly detailed, action is frenetic and intense and it is rather difficult as are most Capcom games which is a good thing. The down sides are that the controls are complicated as hell, it feels like your controlling a tank instead of a person in the environment and the AI is dumb to say the least. I'll have more on the demo and some impressions of the Knothole Island download for Fable 2 for the podcast.

Thats all for now folks take care and enjoy the rest of your Superbowl Weekend.

Would You Kindly Episode 6: Where Nick is an asshole for changing the title

Back again for another exciting installment of crap from your friends here at the WYK Blog. This week we cover The Razzies an awards show for the worst movies of the year, or as I like to call them, movies that make me lose my faith in humanity. Also South Carolina senator attempts to outlaw vulgar language. Worse yet is a man who loses 150,000 on an internet scam. There is more stuff too I just don't remember it so go ahead and listen in people.

Would You Kindly Episode 5: The Episode We Forgot To Title

Well this is quite possibly either our worst or best episode ever. It's up to you to decide but feel free to tell us how you feel. This week we cover Batman RIP, The Unborn, why movie producers are making crappy live action versions of beloved anime of our past, the upcoming Oscar awards, a conversation on cloud computing that goes no where and some other stuff that I forgot and can't bother to remember as I am actually in the process of publishing the podcast while typing this. Hope you enjoy!

Another victim to a failing economy

Well so today is the beginning of the end for Circuit City. If you don't already know CCity announced last week that they were in talks to sell the remaining assets of the company and if they were unable to do so by January 16th then they would be liquidating the stores. Well the Jan 16th deadline is here and there have been no bids for the red giant and it is now official that they are liquidating their remaining stock and closing their doors. As a former CCity employee of two years this is hitting quite close to home for me as I have many friends that I met through and whom still work at CCity. It's also the place that got me going down the road of life I am currently heading down (Dell IT support, and going to school for computer sciences). No it was not the best company to work for and yeah they do treat their employees like shit (ecspecially in the past 2 years or so) but still they have been around for almost 60 years and if I am not mistaken are the largest retail closing in the US since Montgomery Ward closed in 2001. Sad times indeed. We here at the WYK Blog wish all of you at Circuit City the best, well the store employees anyways, the corporate assholes who ran that company into the ground can all suck it as far as I am concerned.

Go See The Unborn

This movie is quite probably the worst movie ever made. It's got a horrible premise, low budget porn acting, bad special effects, and isn't the least bit scary. The plot doesn't make any fucking sense at all, seriously FUCKING NAZIS are responsible for this. It's so bad that I recommend everybody go see it b/c it will quite literally make you feel better about yourself. You will sleep better at night knowing that nothing you do will ever be as horrible as this movie was. I seriously thought that this was a horror satire movie that just never got to the punch line. Go see this movie to make fun of it, and comment back. Don't worry I'll be here waiting for you.
